Doncont Hotel Gym – Fitness Wall Mural (Case Study)
For this project, we worked on a section of Doncont Hotel and Apartments Gym with a bold, high-contrast mural that energizes the space and guides members toward strength goals. Although this wasn’t a full-facility commission, we documented the process from sketch to final paint so you can see how we made this a core aspect in workout mood.
Project Scope
One feature wall inside Doncont Gym (targeted section: one wall ).
Location
Yenegoa/Bayelsa STATE, Nigeria
Wall Size
APPROX SIZE (e.g., 30ft × 15ft) – we measured on site.
Timeline
3 nights onsite ( we only work at night reasons bellow )
Style & Palette
Monochrome + bold outlines; fitness icons; brand-aligned typography, brick wall settings.
Materials
Premier exterior/interior acrylics, detail brushes, rollers, matte seal.
Design Intent
The goal was to create a mural that feels strong and focused without overwhelming thefspace: clean figures, high-contrast shading, and clear iconography that signals movement, discipline, and progress. We kept the palette simple to match existing finishes while giving the wall a statement presence.

Steps:
1) Quick pencil layout to map proportions.
2) Base fills with bigger brushes for speed and consistency.
3) Edges and muscle definition with detail brushes.
4) Highlights and final line work.
Before & After
Constraints & Solutions
- Active work hours: The gym was still under construction when we did this, so we scheduled work for only night.
- Proposed finishes: choices were tuned to flooring/lighting so the wall ties the room together.
