How a week works

Watch. Try it yourself. Send it in. Talk it through.

Every week follows the same simple rhythm, so your child always knows what to do next — and you always know what they're learning.

01

Watch the lesson

A short video where Benjamin teaches and demonstrates the week's idea — shading, form, colour, or light — step by step.

02

Read the notes

A simple workbook page that explains the lesson again in plain words, with a quick quiz to check it sank in.

03

Do the practical

Pick an object from home, set up your light, and draw or paint what you see. This is where the real learning happens.

04

Submit & review

Send a photo of the finished work on WhatsApp, then hop on a short call with Benjamin for feedback and the next step.

New to art? Benjamin recommends starting with Drawing — but it isn't required. If your child already sketches, Painting is open too.

Before you enroll

Questions parents usually ask

Is this only for kids?
No. Most students are children aged 8 and up, but adults who never learned to draw are very welcome too. The lessons are written in plain, simple language so anyone can follow.
My child has never drawn before — is that okay?
That's exactly who Drawing is for. We start from the basics: how to hold a pencil, how shading works, and how to really look at an object before drawing it.
What if my child already draws a little?
During your review call, Benjamin will look at their current work and decide whether to start from the basics or move a little faster — whichever helps them most.
Discovery — any age, reading-based Drawing — ages 8+ Painting — ages 8+
Can you teach online if we're not in Nigeria?
Yes. Lessons are pre-recorded videos with a workbook, so your child can learn from anywhere. Review calls are done over video call, wherever you are.
Do you teach in person too?
In-person sessions are available for students in the same city as Benjamin, or for groups and schools. This is priced separately — message us on WhatsApp to discuss.
What does my child need to get started?
A pencil, an eraser, and any plain notebook or sketchbook. Everything else — what to draw, how to hold it, how to see it — we teach in the lessons.
How do submissions and review calls work?
After each practical assignment, your child photographs their work and sends it to us on WhatsApp. We then schedule a short call to go through it together and set the focus for next week.
